What should of been enjoyable was turned into a upsetting experience when we felt like we where being hustled by one of the mangers into having to take 2 kittens instead of 1 . She seemed to make the policy up on the spot , the girl showing us the kittens new nothing about the policy and looked quite embarrassed , and what made it worse was that its litter mate had been chosen in the time we went to the office and back and then they proceeded to lie about that saying it was reserved ages ago . The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth

Had a day of helping volunteer.. (no help on how to muck a stables out and was left on my own) so took forever. Wasn’t given much of a choice of what to do because there was that many volunteers. Felt very cliquey and after it had finished, had my number taken to be added to a volunteer WhatsApp group… never heard from them again.. Their loss.

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary does such excellent work, rescuing and caring for the animals that need help, from those who have been abandoned to those who have lost their home through their owner’s illness or death, many more circumstances in between. We donate both food and money, and visit the Open Days etc when possible. If it were possible we’d adopt even more! The work, and care, that staff and volunteers put in is truly amazing. Well done to everyone there.

We love supporting Woodlands animal sanctuary. We adopted our rescue cat from them in 2023, she's a treasure ! Their open days are always great and we've done the afternoon tea with them too. Our cat has been looked after a couple of times in their cat hotel, we know she'll be safe and sound with them, all the staff love their work at Woodlands, so kind and caring.

I adopted my cat from Woodlands almost a year ago, and it's the best thing I ever did. Staff and volunteers at the sanctuary were incredibly helpful and friendly, and communicated regularly throughout the cat adoption process, making it as pain free as possible while still doing thorough checks to make sure my kitten and I were the right fit for each other. Since then, I have followed the work they do at the sanctuary, and have been blown away by the passion and dedication of everyone who works there. I'm incredibly grateful to the team for everything they do - especially at such a challenging time for rescues everywhere. Highly recommend. Adopt don't shop.

Fantastic animal sanctuary, my son enjoyed learning about all the animals and what amazing work they do when he attended their half term holiday club in April. We also had an amazing day at their charity fun day to help raise money and have donated to this sanctuary. Amazing charity and lovely people xx

Spent a very pleasant afternoon here on one of their Tea & Tours events. Considering its a busy animal sanctuary everything was spick & span with all the animals looking happy and healthy. We were guided round by a very knowledgeable lady (sorry am terrible with names) meet and greet with some of the animals, great to see how much space they have, the horses and donkey were our favourite. After a very extensive tour we enjoyed some nice, what looked like home made cakes and a brew. Was a lovely way to spend the afternoon and you know your money is going to an excellent cause. Thanks again to the whole team.

A small animal sanctuary doing some great work. We visited during an open day recently and it was a really nice day out. The staff were wonderful, friendly, welcoming and hard working. There knowledge of all the animals was impressive and the stalls and games they put on for the open day was really good and the children loved everything. We were able to look around the animals they look after and the place was immaculate and a real credit to them. The care they take for the animals is not something I’ve seen done this well before. The, I can’t say cages, more of residential rooms for each individual animal was impressive with tons of space for each one and some great protocols in place. Each animal charted and showed if and were the animal allowed touching. Gel hands and change uniforms between pens. Amazing. A very worthy organisation to visit and support if you get the chance.

Amazing day out doing a Tea & Tour (which caters brilliantly to vegans). The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable. The animals were lovely. It was such a lovely, relaxing and wonderful day. The cattery is a therapy session.
